Primary STEM Challenge

The Primary STEM Challenge is a national initiative coordinated by the Primary Science Team within the Directorate for STEM & VET Programmes (DSVP). The initiative is for Early Years and Primary Years students in Year 1 to Year 6. The aim of the initiative is to engage young students, educators and their caregivers in doing science while nurturing and developing 21st Century life skills. Participants are requested to investigate one of three themes and communicate their findings in video format which will then be adjudicated according to a number of predetermined criteria. Awards including Science Communication Awards are provided to students and class teachers who participate in this national initiative.
